Looking down onto the output shaft. A long rod placed in the holes of the flywheel was used to position the
crankshaft. This positioning was done prior to starting the engine. The "toothed" wheel may have
been part of an alternator/generator. If so, the windings and the "field"housing are missing. The smallest
wheel may have been used to drive other equipment--perhaps a compressor. Thin drive belts can be seen
hanging from the guardrail.
